Goethe-Institut Ireland
The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. They promote the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange. On their website you find various information about teaching and learning German. Their new platform Deutschstunde offers teaching materials for German as a foreign language and advanced training. In addition, they have a whole section dedicated to practise German free of charge.
Deutsche Welle
Deutsche Welle (DW) is Germany’s international broadcaster and one of the most successful international media outlets. On their homepage provide impartial news and information, giving people worldwide the opportunity to form their own opinions, assess issues of local and global significance and participate in social debates as active and informed citizens. In addition, they have a whole section dedicated to learn and practise German free of charge.
Duitsland Instituut
The Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam (DIA), associated with the Universiteit van Amsterdam, is the centre of expertise for modern Germany in the Netherlands. It is active in the fields of science, education and society. A team of scientists, education experts, editors and organisational talents is constantly working on developing new strategies to reach specific target groups (for lesson ideas click here). Particularly recommended is their Frühstücksei-series, where ready-to-use worksheets about current German topics are weekly published. They are free of charge and can be downloaded with or without the solution-sheet.
Wirtschaftsdeutsch.de
Wirtschaftsdeutsch.de has been created by the Institut für Internationale Kommunikation e. V. in Düsseldorf und Berlin. The university-affiliated Institute for International Communication e.V. with its locations in Berlin and Düsseldorf is a non-profit institution that promotes worldwide exchange. One focus is language preparation for studies and careers in Germany.
