“Say Yes to languages“, the primary sample module of Languages Connect, has been extended for a fourth year. The module facilitates primary schools to introduce a Modern Foreign Language or Irish Sign Language (ISL) to their third to sixth class pupils. The 2024/25 module runs within the normal school timetable, for a total of ten hours per classroom, over a period of ten weeks. To support teachers during these ten weeks, we have compiled materials here. One of our members at resources-for-german.com is also taking part in this project and will be teaching at two primary schools. Therefore we will adapt and update the materials over the next few weeks to reflect on what has worked well in the classroom.
You can find a weekly plan, that can give you guidance on what to do when. We also offer worksheets and video material for language learning and German culture and festivals. In addition we also put together some useful links with some games and further material for you.
